Key focus areas include:IoT sensor hardware, device firmware, and cloud-based softwareAutomated suction liner adjustment systemsData analysis strategies, including machine learning applications for wear and system analysis.Infrastructure management of IoT devices and supporting server systemsRESPONSIBILITIES:Design, develop, and maintain web platforms for GIW’s IoT and automation productsCollaborate with internal teams, external partners, and consultants to develop software and hardware componentsPlan and implement data analytics and forecasting tools by integrating existing analysis tools with newly developed IoT systems for enhanced predictive maintenance and part life forecastingAssist in server administration and infrastructure support for the GIW IoT platformWork with the GIW Hydraulic Lab to support R&D and product testing initiativesSupport development of internal engineering tools and applications as neededProvide Electrical Engineering support to the IoT team, if qualifiedQUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.Additional background in Electrical Engineering is a plus.Experience:3–5 years of hands-on software development experience, including:Web and client application developmentDatabase schema design and implementationProgramming in Python, JavaScript, Java, and C/C++ (or another embedded systems language)Working within Linux-based environmentsPreferred Skills:Experience with embedded systems and IoT device integrationFamiliarity with Linux device and server administrationExposure to signal processing and machine learning approaches for industrial applicationsKnowledge of remote device management and over-the-air (OTA) updates is a plusKSB GIW, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
