Nexus Employment is seeking a full-time MIG Welding Fabrication Technician to join a metal manufacturing team in Danville, IL. Step into a hands-on role where accuracy, safety, and pride in workmanship drive every shift.
A day in the lifeYour morning starts with blueprint review and setting up MIG (and occasionally TIG or Stick) equipment. You position jigs, verify measurements, and dial in heat settings before the first arc. Throughout the day you move and position heavy metal components, lay out and execute clean welds, and perform hourly weld tests and inspections to keep quality on spec. You read, calculate, and confirm dimensions, make real-time adjustments, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Before you clock out, you tidy the cell and prepare for the next production run.
