Intervention Teacher (Reading/Math/ELA) – Milwaukee, WI Area

We are hiring Intervention Teachers to provide small-group Reading, Math, and/or ELA instruction to students in non-public schools throughout the Milwaukee area. Our teachers are normally placed at one school site for the entire year to provide pull-out services to students who are 1 or more years below grade level. This is a school-year position focused on helping students close learning gaps and build academic confidence.

What You'll Do

• Teach small-group Reading, Math, and/or ELA interventions
• Use research based curriculum to map lessons according to student needs and progress data
• Use assessment data to plan instruction and monitor student progress
• Administer and review Renaissance STAR assessments
• Track student attendance and progress
• Communicate with school staff and families
• Participate in team meetings and parent conferences
• Maintain accurate student records
• Professional growth: Embrace training, coaching and feedback by your coach to help support professional goals and instructional practice.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Participate in monthly meetings with your coach

What Learning Exchange is Looking for from you

Valid Wisconsin DPI Teacher License (Regular Education, Math, ELA, English, Reading)

• Experience teaching or supporting students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to use technology for assessments and progress monitoring
• Passion for helping struggling learners succeed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the school day
• Ability to move between classrooms and school learning spaces
• Occasional lifting or carrying of instructional materials (up to 20 lbs.)
• Ability to climb stairs as needed within school buildings
